The property is set within the Cairngorms National Park and lies within a well maintained holiday parke that overlooks the River Spey. The nearest village is Newtonmore which provides several shops and pubs, along with two award-winning museums – the Highland Folk Museum and Clan MacPherson Museum.
There’s also Newtonmore’s Wildcat Trail which is a popular seven mile circular walk that takes you around the edge of the village, through some wondertful landscape that include the River Spey, woodland, moorland and stunning views across the valley to the Cairngorms, and behind the village to the Monadhliath Mountains.
For the young ones there is a Folk Park, the Wildlife Park at Kincraig, Landmark at Carrbridge provides a fun day and the Steam Railway puffs it’s way through some wonderful countrside.
The area is noted for its choice of outdoor activities which include: golfing, fishing, pony trekking, walking, mountaineering, birdwatching, cycling, mountain biking, rock climbing, snowboarding and skiing, (in season) making this holiday home near Kingussie an ideal base from which to discover all that this area of Scotland has to offer.
